These structures – and around 800 others – were planned and built by master builders and craftsmen from Au and the Bregenzerwald. The new Barockbaumeister Museum in the carefully renovated “Kurathus” (“Curate’s Residence”) directs attention to the founding history of the “Au Guild” and the work of the Baroque master builders.
