From 1886 to 1900 the location was run as an inn. Years later it received a new lease on life as an Alpine distillery and bar. With deep roots in the region and an eye for tradition, the Löwen Alpine distillery and bar features an exceptional atmosphere with unique products and tastes. The establishment places particular emphasis on tastes stemming from herbs, roots, blossoms and seeds.
The Löwen’s rustic bar and lounge is a perfect place to relax and spend time. In the Gasthaus Löwen’s inn & café, homemade cake and hearty regional dishes are served, while at the in-house Alpine distillery, the focus is on aromas from mountain herbs, seeds and blossoms as well as herbal specialities and liqueurs – all of which can be sampled next door at the small shop. There are also plenty of snack platters and specialities from the region on the menu.
Distillery tours & tastings
Distillery tours take place every Friday at 4 pm and 6 pm (no prior registration necessary).
Take the opportunity to visit us and witness the master distiller at work. Peer over his shoulder for an up close and personal view of aromatic mountain herbs, roots, blossoms and seeds used to make tasty herbal specialities in addition to fine spirits and delicious liqueurs.
